“Britain’s 7 loveliest B&Bs” House & Garden, August 2026
Nestled among the cobbled streets of the historic village of Culross, The Dundonald Guesthouse & Cottage has been welcoming travellers for more than 170 years. Lovingly restored, our circa-1850 former coaching inn now offers luxurious accommodation in the heart of this picturesque former Royal Burgh, where life unfolds at a gentler pace amid centuries of history, with galleries, an abbey, a castle, a palace, welcoming cafés and a traditional local pub all waiting to be discovered.

The Dundonald Guesthouse is a relaxed home away from home. A three-bedroom bed & breakfast where refined interiors and warm hospitality combine to create a beautifully calm and welcoming haven for you to enjoy.
The Kentigern’s room features a king-size bed dressed in luxurious linens, an en-suite shower room, a Smart TV and a thoughtfully curated minibar. A freshly prepared breakfast made with locally sourced produce is included in your stay, while beautiful views across the Firth of Forth can be enjoyed from the room. Binoculars are provided so you can take in the iconic Forth Bridges, look across the water towards Bo’ness, and perhaps spot some local wildlife too.
On the third floor of the guesthouse, the Serfs Room is a beautifully considered guest suite, thoughtfully furnished with a blend of classic vintage pieces and handmade light fixtures. It features a king-size bed dressed in luxurious linens, an en-suite shower room, a Smart TV and a carefully curated minibar, with a freshly prepared breakfast made using locally sourced produce included in your stay. Views across the Firth of the Forth are a bonus.
Located on the second floor of the guesthouse, the Teneu Room is our only garden-view room, offering a view over the cobbles of Culross.
